Buttercup Bakery (New York, NY)

This bakery specializes in dry, tasteless cupcakes. They also have a tacky sign on the counter that limits customers to purchasing one dozen per visit. Their one savior is the banana pudding, a light fluffy blend of vanilla pudding, sweetened condensed milk and whipped cream layered with banana slices and vanilla wafers. It is easily the best banana budding I have tasted. Really brilliant. Luckily, it is also easy to make at home. Get the recipe at:
