Nilgiris Indian Sizzler (Frederick, MD)

Frederick doesn't seem to be crawling with Indian restaurants, so we were pretty excited when we spotted this one hiding at the back of a shopping center. We ordered the malai kofta(croquettes made with home made cheese and vegetables) and channa masala (chick peas cooked with onion and tomato gravy). The kofta were dense, yet soft and both the malai and channa sauces were savory and spiced to perfection. The hot, sweet, fluffly gulab junam was a great ending to a great meal.
